Boo Boos

These are Trey's most recent pictures. He was 10 weeks old here, although he looks way older to me with those shoes on. Grandma Sherman bought them at the Ferrari shop in Las Vegas. Trey is a very happy little boy so I was glad we could get some smiles out of him.

First Smiles

Here is one of Trey's first smiles. It was so cute.

Who said three's a crowd? Trey's Birth

Trey was born the beginning of May. He weighed 6lbs 11 oz and was 18 inches long ( a little guy ) My labor was very difficult.

My water broke on Tuesday night and I went into the hospital on Wednesday morning at 9am, a friend took me because Kyle was in Salt Lake at work and couldn’t get down. The hospital checked to see if I was dilated but I was only 1cm. They checked to see if my water was broken and the test came back negative. I asked what the liquid was and the nurse said she wasn’t sure. So they sent me home and told me to come back when the contractions were 3 to 4 minutes apart. At about 12pm I started having contractions. By 5pm my contractions were very strong and by 6 they have been 3 to 4 minutes apart for over an hour so we went back to the hospital. OH, keep in mind that I was still leaking this liquid. The hospital checked me again said I was still at 1cm and that they couldn’t tell if my water was broken or not. So they sent me home. At this point I was dying because the contractions were very strong and so close together. They gave me a medicine to help me sleep that night. It slowed my contractions down to about every 6 minutes apart but they still hurt so bad, so I slept about every six minutes. Kyle and I would jump up in the middle of the night with every contraction and breathe and sway back and forth. It was the longest night of my life.

At 5am the next morning, I called the hospital and told them that the fluid was leaking down my leg and my contractions were about 5 minutes apart. They told me to come to the hospital. The tested me again to see how dilated I was and I was only 2cm after all of that. I was soo frustrated and exhausted. I started crying praying they wouldn’t send me home again. My doctor finally decided to admit me so they hooked me up to an IV. By this time it was about 8am. At 11am the doctor came in and they decided to induce me which means give me medicine to increase my labor. At 12 the doctor came in to break my water and said that it was already broken and that the reason why they couldn’t tell that it was broken before was because the baby’s head was so low he was holding in the water so it was just a slow leak. AUGHH if they would have just let me stay at the hospital the first time I could have saved all of that pain and money! Around 1 they gave me Pitocin which makes your contractions stronger. I had really wanted to try to deliver as natural as possible meaning no medicine, but by this time I was soo exhausted I asked for the epideral. It was wonderful. I don’t think I will ever go without one. By 3pm I was dilated to 4cm at 4pm I was 8cm and at 4:50 I was 10cm and it was time to push. My doctor came in got ready. I had three contractions pushed 7 times total and little Trey was out. So the delivery which I thought would be the hardest part was the easiest part by far.

Kyle was there through the whole thing and was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have done it without him. Love you Kyle!

Now life has totally changed, I'm still learning how to live a normal life and have a baby, you know like shower, go to the grocery store, clean the house and even eat! I love being a mom though and seeing Trey learn new things every day.

We Finally Gave In!

So after years and years of fighting myspace, facebook, blogs and everything else that falls into this category, I gave in. I've always been too afraid of strangers finding out everything about my life. However, I've made our blog private so only those we invite can view it. Blogs are such a good way to keep people updated on our lives. However, as many of you already know, I am absolutely horrible with email so we'll see how well I keep up this blogsite. :) Hope you enjoy as I have enjoyed so many of yours. Love you all! Oh and please ignore the copyright over our faces, she sold us the pictures so we're not stealing :)
