Things I would like to do...

First, you can get a free photo book from Picaboo until March 22nd. The details are on this blog. http://iheartnaptime.blogspot.com/

I read a blog the other day about a Mom who celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with her kids. She did all sorts of totally fun stuff with her kids all day. Like every hour or two they would read a new Dr. Seuss book and eat yummy food, or make a craft, or play a game. I started thinking that I need to do more things like this with Trey. I think these kind of activities are great ways to learn and have fun and most importantly are the best ways to bond with your child and show them that you love them while making memories. http://sandytoesandpopsicles.blogspot.com/2011/03/happy-birthday-dr-suess-with-guest.html

I would also like to try and revamp some sweaters like this so I can change up my wardrobe without spending a fortune. http://tatertotsandjello.blogspot.com/2011/03/spring-sweater-refashion-2011-2.html

Exercise at least 3 days a week. Ideally I would like to exercise Monday thru Friday and 3 of those days be training for the Triathlon I will be doing July 30th in Layton but I think I should start with 3 and work my way up. I loooooove to exercise, especially go to the gym. I love the atmosphere of a gym and all of the options that it has. But I have to choose between a gym pass and the Blendtec and lets be honest, I'd rather have the Blendtec and workout without a gym :)

The Love Month 2011

He's such a good big brother.

Trey put these potholders on his feet and said "look mom, duck feet!" He is becoming so creative and imaginitive while he plays.

We went to St. George for President Day to see Kyle's parents and cousins. It was a great weekend. Kyle has won the last two racquetball tournaments in the highest level at BYU so of course Stevo had to challenge him. He did teach Kyle all he knows :)

A few weeks ago when it dumped snow on us we decided to go sledding at BYU with Stefanie and her kids Grace and Rocco. Emily Little was kind enough to come along and help me with the kids. Trey and Grace looked so cute going down together and Kajsa went sledding with mommy for the first time. We all had so much fun. Afterwards, Kyle met us and we went and ate at the cougareat.

My New Obsession

So... I have this new obsession with these blenders. I have seen them both at booths in Costco and Sam's Club. Whenever I go there, I stand at the counter with my kids for like 45 minutes trying all of the samples. They are soooo good. :) Kyle finds it quite humorous. I have read reveiws comparing the two. They have become a part of my daily conversations and the butt of my jokes. I really really really want one but they are like $400 dollars. I know... Kyle thinks I'm crazy too, but think of all of the things I can make with it. I can make baby food and puree whatever we are eating, smoothies, ice cream, soups. The ice cream is amazing and is made with no sugar or dairy. Perfect for my lactose intolerant little boy. They even grind wheat for making bread!!! A-mazing. But for now, I will just have to wish.

Testimony

Sunday was Fast and Testimony meeting. Towards the end of the meeting Trey said "Mommy, I want to go up there". I explained to him that people went up there to bear their testimonies about Jesus. He said he wanted to do that. I said ok. We walked up there and this is how it went.

Crystal: "I don't know if this has ever been done in this ward before but Trey would like to bear his testimony" (it is rare to have talking age children in the ward)

Trey: Got nervous and turned away, which is what I thought would happen so I bore my testimony instead. In the middle of my testimony he said, "Mommy I want to do it". So when I finished, this is what Trey said:

"I like Jesus. I like Nephi. I like Temples. Amen."

As we were walking down from the stand he said loudly, "Mommy I forgot to say Name of Jesus Christ Amen". I told him he could do it next time. We sat down in our seats while another member bore his testimony. When he was done Trey said, "Mommy I want to go again, It's my turn".

Trey has such a sweet little spirit and I hope that he will keep that desire to bear his testimony to all of those around him. It was a first, I thought was worth documenting :)

Best Friends

Seven Peaks Summer 2010

Last week at church I took Trey to the bathroom. We washed his hands and he was smiling really big the whole time. As we were walking out of the bathroom, this was our conversation:

Trey: Mommy, You're pretty. I like you.
Me: I am? Thanks, Trey. I like you too.
Trey: Uh Huh, Cuz You're my best friend.
It was so sweet to hear him say that I was his best friend. We do spend many, many hours together :)

Are ya kiddin' me.....?

Are ya kiddin' me? Could these pictures be any cuter? We took these Friday night for Kajsa's three month pictures since I didn't ever get any professional newborn ones. We took them at 7:30 at night :( so both of our kids were tired, but I got a really good deal. I can't wait to put these up in our house.

Potty Training!

Trey started his potty training Christmas morning. Santa Claus took his diapers away and gave them to another baby who needed them :) and then gave him big boy underwear. Trey has done awesome. He has only had about 5 or 6 accidents since Christmas day. We are so proud of him, but he has really done it on his own. At the beginning we gave Trey 2 m&m's every time he went potty. Now he doesn't get a reward (except the satisfaction of not peeing his pants) :) I think that he has done so well because he has had a hard time adjusting to Kajsa and getting less attention than he used to. Potty training is his thing, where he gets attention all to himself, positive praise and a feeling of accomplishment. This is a milestone in his little life. Congratulations Trey Stephen! :)
