K9 Web Protection

About a year ago we were told about K9 Web Protection and we love it. It is so easy to install, it's free and it is very, very user friendly. K9 is a program that monitors your internet use. You are able to go on and tell it what categories you want blocked and if one of those comes up you have to enter a password to be able to see that web page. It is a free download. It was created for Parents to help protect their children from harmful information on the internet. Their website gives parents other ideas on how to help protect their children from the harmful effects of the internet. But we love it for us even though doesn't use the computer yet because it helps keeps those "pop up" accidents from happening. :)

On top of blocking websites, it records EVERY single website that you go to or Every pop up window that comes up so that if something does get past the system it is recorded. It tells you the time and date that it was viewed. We wanted to recommend this program to all of our friends and family as a way to protect their families.

This Week

This week Kyle and I got new bedding. We've been looking for awhile and we finally found something that we liked, on sale, and we had a $25 gift card to this store. YEAH! We love our new bedding. I also made the drapes in the background. (kind of) Our windows are an awkward size so I had to cut and sew them. Don't look too closely, they aren't straight :(

This is a cute picture of Trey I thought I'd add. He likes to wear my headband around his neck and walk around the house. He makes me laugh!!

Yesterday, my phone was charging on the kitchen table and Trey grabbed the cord and my phone went crashing to the ground. This is what happened to it. The picture doesn't even to it justice. Surprisingly, it still works but I have to hold it with both hands so that it doesn't snap in half. My phone came today. We'll see how I like it.

A New Smell at the Shermans

What's that smell you ask? The aroma of freshly baked bread. :) MMMMMM!!

Last week I went over to Leanne's house and she taught me how to bake bread. The recipe she gave me is from Pantry Secrets. This one recipe can make 50 other things. It's incredible and easy too! They are based out of Pleasant Grove and they teach classes for $20. Well worth the money. This was my first time ever successfully making bread and I am so excited. My goal is to make bread once a week so that we never have to buy it at the store again. Kyle even said he likes it better than store bought bread.
Reasons why making this dough recipe is so great:
  • It tastes and smells so good
  • It cost .25 cents a loaf, saving us a ton of money!
  • It makes great food storage! and the ingredients last a long time.
  • It's healthier for us because Soy Lecithin is used instead of fats and oils
  • It makes 50 other things. We are going to have Calzone's tonight. YUMM!
  • AND IT ONLY TAKES 10 MINUTES OF PREP TIME, 20 TO RAISE AND 25 TO COOK, MAKING THAT JUST UNDER AN HOUR TO COOK DELICIOUS HOMEMADE BREAD.

Crystal's Birthday

Another year gone by and my wife is another year older. Wow how time is going by so fast. We went to Crystals friends house (Leanne) and had Crystals favorite dinner, roast and potatoes and carrots. We had a salad and some watermelon also with home made apple crisp which I partially made. Believe it or not it is true. That night Crystal shredded on the guitar and all the other instruments while playing rock band. It was a fun night. Happy Birthday babe. Love you.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated Crystal's birthday with us. (We had an early party on Thursday for her too. She's spoiled.
